We understand that running a busy Sydney household means your needs will be different each week and generic cleaning services just don’t cut the mustard (here’s why). So, we’ve kept our service offering wide open, which means you get to choose the service you want when you need it. It’s entirely up to you…

Simply book the amount of time that suits your budget and tell us which jobs take priority at each visit. Choose the same tasks at each service or mix things up as much as you need.

Get the same service every week (think regular cleaning, floors, bathrooms, dusting) or enjoy a few weeks of consistent tasks followed by a deeper cleaning day whenever it’s needed (think cleaning out the kitchen cupboards, dusting the fans, washing windows or a thorough spring clean).

Or… You can mix things up from week to week according to what is happening in your home. For example, one visit could see us taking out the trash and cleaning out the kids playroom; and the next could involve a post-party clean-up or prepping the guest room for interstate visitors.

Put simply, our fully customisable service gives you the ultimate flexibility – all for the same affordable flat hourly rate.

How much time should I book for each visit?

We recommend booking the amount of time that best fits your budget.

If you’re unsure how much cleaners in Sydney can get done in the time you’ve booked, don’t stress! Your Home Assistant will give you a clear indication of what is possible in the allocated time.

Simply tell them what you’d like done. They’ll help you to prioritise tasks and ensure that the most important jobs get done.

Kindly note, there is a minimum booking time of three hours.

Is the membership and service fee the same thing?

These are separate. Here’s how it works…

The Nitty Gritty

Membership ($240):

  • Membership is payable on booking.
  • It includes screening, recruitment, ongoing support and much more (see below). 
  • Membership entitles you to a minimum of 12 months of free replacement support should your Home Assistant have to leave your service during the membership period. (This is not a rolling membership.) 
  • Membership payment will only apply again should you need a replacement Home Assistant after 12 months.
  • Membership also entitles you to our Keeper Guarantee, which covers you in the unlikely event that your assigned Home Assistant is not “the one” for you. Simply tell us why, and we’ll find you a better fit. Plus, your next service is on us!
  • Your membership fee is not a deposit for your first service.
  • If we are unable to find a suitable Home Assistant within our two-week matching period, we will let you know and will happily provide you with a refund. Or… you can opt to wait as we continue our search.
  • Once you have been matched, based on your initial booking, we are unable to offer a refund on your membership.

Service Fees

  • Our service is charged at a flat hourly rate of $45 per hour, per Home Assistant, with a three hour minimum. 
  • This is paid directly to your Home Assistant on your service days.

How does Family Clean membership work?

What should I expect at my first service?

Every home across the greater Sydney region is different and everyone has different ideas about housekeeping.

Our Home Assistants believe in cleaning your place your way. So, we’re eager to hear exactly how you like things done. Whether you’re the super-organised type who likes everything in its place or you take a more relaxed, free-and-easy approach, we want to know!

Simply tell us about your preferences, and within a couple of service visits, your Home Assistant will get to know your quirks and make every effort to arrange your home just the way you like it.

Being there in person to welcome your Home Assistant at your first service will make a world of difference. This is your chance to walk them through your home, explain your preferences and priorities and share with them the way you like to arrange everything from the sofa cushions to the perfume bottles on your dressing table.

It’s important to keep communication channels open with your Home Assistant at every stage of your relationship. The more constructive feedback you provide, the better your Home Assistant will be able to tailor their service, until they know precisely how to clean and organise your home, your way.

You can provide feedback directly to your Home Assistant or pass it on to our Mother Ducks who will check in with you after your first service and regularly along the way.

Do I need to supply anything?

At Family Clean, we’re all about keeping things as clean and environmentally friendly as possible, while maintaining a safe environment for your family and your Home Assistant.

So, for hygiene reasons, we ask that you provide your Home Assistant with everything they need to complete the tasks you have in mind for your service.

This includes giving them access to your household cleaning equipment (think vacuum cleaner, mops, buckets) and your preferred eco-friendly cleaning products (think cloths, brushes, multi-purpose cleaning agents, glass cleaners, floor cleaners/polishes).

This also ensures that your Home Assistant will use the exact cleaning agents required for any unique surfaces in your home and/or suited to your personal preferences.

Kindly note: For best results, please ensure all equipment is in good working order. If your equipment is not performing well (e.g., your vacuum has very little suction power or your stick vacuum only has the energy for a quick 10-minute clean), this will affect the outcome of your service.
