Finding Your Match
High five—you made a great choice! While you celebrate, we’re matching you with a domestic house cleaner who’s just right for your home. We’ll introduce you to your match within a week and keep you updated along the way.

Confirmation
Once we’ve got your match, we’ll send you a text and email with all the good stuff: your Home Assistant’s details, bio and a photo so you know exactly who is coming through your door. They’ll reach out to you shortly after to set up a date and time for your once off clean.

Walk-through
A great cleaning service starts with great communication. On their first visit, your Home Assistant will chat through your priorities, quirks, what is achievable and expectations (because let’s be real, we all have them!). If extra time is needed, they’ll let you know—no surprises, just clarity.

Payment
Payment is easy as pie. On the day, pay your Home Assistant directly by bank transfer or cash. Simple.

Follow-up
This isn’t a “book and forget” service. After your once off service clean, we’ll check in to make sure everything went smoothly. Heads up: don’t be surprised if you use this opportunity to turn this into a regular cleaning service.

How much will a Barefoot Basics Service Cost?
Barefoot Basics is a flat rate of $50 per hour, per cleaner (paid directly to your cleaner on service days).
You choose how much time you’d like to book, with a minimum booking of 2 hours ($100).
There’s also a one-time $49 matching fee to pair you with the right person – and covers you for up to 6 months of replacements if needed.
How much time should I book for?
We suggest booking based on your budget and the size of your home.
Not sure? There’s a handy guide on the booking form, and your cleaner will be upfront about what’s achievable in the time you’ve booked. You can always adjust from there.
*A quick note: while our cleaners are amazing, they’re wonderfully human (not superhuman). They’ll need reasonable time to do the job well based on the size and condition of your home and to ensure the best results for your floors and bathrooms.
Do I need to supply anything?
Yes – your cleaner will use your vacuum, mop, bucket, and cleaning products. This keeps things hygienic and means they’re using exactly what’s right for your home’s surfaces and your personal preferences.
Think: floor cleaner, bathroom cleaner, toilet cleaner, glass cleaner – the things likely already in your laundry cupboard.

*One thing to keep in mind: if your equipment isn’t in great working order (say, your vacuum’s on its last legs or your stick vac only has the energy for a quick 10-minute clean), it may affect the outcome of your service.
