We had a team member birthday at HQ last week, with cake (obviously!)

A debate was sparked however - cake icing vs cake the itself! 💥

Some preferring the icing cause it was *oh* so sweet and buttery, and some preferring the flavour of the sponge as they weren’t sugar fiends like the other half!

Promise we’re going somewhere with this...

It got us thinking - birthday cake is like a cleaning service.

How to ensure you get the most out of your service? Communicate your preferences!

Finishing touches (icing) are wonderful, but maybe your a deep clean (sponge) person, and instead of the towel’s being presented beautifully, you’d prefer the back of the cupboards to get a well needed wipe down.

Your Home Assistant needs to know this so they can personalise your service to you, so don’t be afraid to go into the detail! It’s your clean, your way.

...and maybe you resonate more with the 1 individual in the office who loved the icing and the sponge just as much as the other... (totally fine 😉) - just be sure to let your H/A know so they can meet your expectations to the best of their ability! x
