It’s no secret, our days are busy. For some, the commute to and from work, and everything else in between, becomes a blur. Technology, although proving to be extremely beneficial, has also brought an unprecedented speed into our daily lives. It can feel like you’ve rushed from one task to another without taking a breathe in between. Such a routine can become an unhealthy, black cycle if you don’t take time to reflect, to digest the highs and lows of life itself.
So, I believe, it’s time we all take a step back to evaluate how healthy our daily routine is.
As time goes on, I have realised one thing that has been my saving grace – my family. Amidst the chaos, they are my rock. We sit down and the end of the day to share the weird, the wonderful and the woeful moments. We chat, we vent, we sigh, we laugh and we speak too fast to try and get out an exciting story, but most importantly, we listen. The art of communication lies within the foundational skill of listening. Now, I don’t mean silently sitting there and hearing what the other is saying, but I mean actively engaging and reflecting on what the other is expressing. This is the secret of a healthy daily routine and I found it right here at Family Clean.
When I met Joey and Rowena I instantly felt a connection with them, and it’s no wonder our values aligned. Their family philosophy speaks true in everything they do, from interaction behind the scenes to the recruitment of the crews and the services they offer. I say it with all sincerity, it is evident that their ethos of giving back to the community is close to their hearts.
Today, we sat down for our office ‘Wellness Wednesday’ lunch and I felt the same feeling that I feel when sitting down at dinner with my own family. It’s hard to describe that exact feeling, but it’s like the warm and fuzzies you get when you feel like you’re somewhere you belong, somewhere you are valued.
So, at Family Clean we want to also welcome you to the table, welcome you to the conversation. We want to create a culture where you are comfortable and confident in allowing us to ease the burden of that dreaded household work. Our family wants to help provide your family with more quality time. And, remember, it can be as simple as a meal!
Weekly Motto: Breathe. Listen. Reflect.
